WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo has been eyeing a potential scrap against the P4P king, Canelo Alvarez, for a brief period. Although both men currently compete at different weight classes, Charlo has appeared optimistic about bagging the matchup. While a few analysts may see it as an early move for Jermall Charlo to face Alvarez, ‘Iron Man’ sees it differently. Ahead of his title defense against Brian Carlos Castano, Charlo spoke to Brian Custer and said, “I think my brother can get in there with Canelo Alvarez and they can trade some blows and see if you know my brother could get in there and fight. Canelo Alvarez is a tough boy.”

“He ain’t gonna stop, he keep punching, he punch at a very good torque and power. And it’s all about the game plan and how they come with. My brother feels confident and I feel confidence in him.”

However, the matchup is way far from meeting official fruition. Although Jermall Charlo can enter the 168 lbs division, Canelo Alvarez may move to 175 lbs after/if he becomes undisputed at super-middleweight.
