According to Forbes, the pound-for-pound king made a massive payday in a row to crown the undisputed super-middleweight title. The 31-year-old is certainly boxing’s biggest draw. His fights made record pay-per-view sales the previous year. This improved his position as the highest-paid athlete.

The previous year, Forbes had ranked him 48, and in the current list, Alvarez holds 8th position. Per reports, Canelo made $85million through his contribution to the ring and $5 million through off-field income.

This is the first time when Canelo joined the top-ten highest-paid club. With this, he has also surpassed the top-notch names of combat sport: Floyd Mayweather, social media star Jake Paul and UFC star Conor McGregor.
