Boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez recently suffered his first loss since he last fought with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in 2013. Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol pulled off what many fans believes was one of the biggest upsets of the sport by defeating the Mexican king. Following that, now Alvarez is set to go up against Gennady Golovkin for his trilogy fight. Take a look at what he has to say about his opponent.

Alvarez revealed that he is mad at Golovkin, and said, “He(Golovkin) always says I’m not a good champion, I’m embarrassed for my country, that all kind of stuff, that’s why I’m mad with him. Because when he is in front of me or near to me, he don’t say anything about that, right? That’s why I’m mad because he said a lot of things, so in front of me he don’t say anything. So that’s why I’m mad.”

Alvarez revealed the reason why he is mad at Golovkin but also added that he is a good fighter and a tough opponent. Well, the two will be going up against each other on September 17th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Gennady Golovkin reveals that he is ready to face anything that Canelo Alvarez throws at him 

It has been years since the two have been carrying the biggest boxing rivalry of this generation. They first squared off inside the ring in 2017, which resulted in a draw. Following that, they met again in 2018, and the fight was nothing less than a bloodbath. Eventually, the Mexican was announced as the winner by a very close decision.

Golovkin revealed that he has his plans and strategies, but it is never just about one boxer, it takes two to tango. He further added, “We’ll definitely see what my opponent has to offer. I’m ready for anything. If he wants to fight at close range, we’ll do that. If he wants to fight at a distance, we’ll fight at a distance. We will be ready for everything, and you will see everything in this fight. Perhaps it is possible you will even see a knockout.”
