The news of the Trilogy between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez has created a great buzz amongst the boxing fraternity. With the increase in the hype, Alvarez added more buzz by stating a fact that makes the rivalry more intense.

In a recent interview with DAZN, Alvarez described his rivalry with Golovkin. He said, “It’s always been very personal with him. That will never go away.”

Further, he added, “After we finished the two fights, it still feels the same (very personal). He (Golovkin) has never stopped talking about me. If you see, I never mentioned his name. I’ve always been in his mouth, he’s always talked about me, and that makes it even more personal. The fact that there is this rivalry puts an extra element there. It makes me train harder.”

It seems that Alvarez is serious about this rivalry and this makes him work harder for his fight against Golovkin in September.

Both the fighters first fought in 2017 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Both the boxers displayed a good show for the spectators as they exchanged some good punches.
