The news of the Trilogy between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez has created a great buzz amongst the boxing fraternity. With the increase in the hype, Alvarez added more buzz by stating a fact that makes the rivalry more intense. 

In a recent interview with DAZN, Alvarez described his rivalry with Golovkin. He said, “It’s always been very personal with him. That will never go away.”

Further, he added, “After we finished the two fights, it still feels the same (very personal). He (Golovkin) has never stopped talking about me. If you see, I never mentioned his name. I’ve always been in his mouth, he’s always talked about me, and that makes it even more personal. The fact that there is this rivalry puts an extra element there. It makes me train harder.”

It seems that Alvarez is serious about this rivalry and this makes him work harder for his fight against Golovkin in September.

Both the fighters first fought in 2017 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Both the boxers displayed a good show for the spectators as they exchanged some good punches. 

After 12 rounds of excellent skills portrayed by boxers, the fight resulted in a draw. As a result, both the fighters asked for a rematch to prove their glory. 

Subsequently, the second fight created a great hype amongst the fans. Both the fighters matched up to the expectation and once again impressed the fans with their skills.

The second fight also went up to the 12 rounds, but this time it wasn’t a draw. The Mexican superstar, Canelo Alvarez, won the fight by a decision. But the fans were not satisfied yet, and they wished to see the fighters again in the ring. 

Well, it will be great excitement for the boxing fraternity when both the fighters will face each other for the third time in their career.
