Alvarez and Saunders fought as the main event of an exciting card. Their fight lived up to expectations. The two champions treated fans to an incredibly technical fight. Alvarez won the bout thanks to a right uppercut which caused Saunders’ eye to swell.

After the fight, the 56-1-2 boxer spoke to Chris Mannix in his post-fight interview. About his next move, Alvarez addressed the Caleb Plant rumors. He said, “That’s the plan. That’s the plan to go for the belt. And, I’m coming man, I’m coming my friend.”

This showed the champion’s eagerness to etch his name in boxing history. Alvarez also exhibited his desperation for the fight when he said, “I hope so. I hope that fight [is] made easy and then give the fans the first undisputed [super-middleweight champion] in the history.”

This comment showed that the champion is looking to etch his name in the history books, rather than picking easy fights.

When can Canelo Alvarez face Caleb Plant?

The P4P superstar, who had said he wanted to win all four belts by the end of the year, is on course to achieve this. However, as fans have seen many times in boxing, differences in timelines can stop a fight from happening. So when will Canelo Alvarez face Caleb Plant?

The American confirmed last week that he has recovered from an injury and is back in training. Moreover, he even said they were working towards facing Canelo in September. And given that Alvarez has fought in May, it would be a good timeline for both.
