He retweeted a post that said, “This is why Floyd is so jealous of @Canelo and so salty and bitter. Canelo at ONLY 31 is already surpassing Floyd’s ENTIRE career. Where was Floyd at 31? At 31 he was no where near where Canelo is at right now! By the time Canelo is done, Canelo WILL BE FAR AHEAD of Floyd.”

Apart from retweeting it, Canelo did not say anything else about it. Attached to the tweet was a photo of all the accomplishments of both fighters.

Floyd Mayweather calls Canelo Alvarez ‘Cakewalk’

Mayweather sat down in front of the media following ‘Tank’s win over Isaac Cruz to talk about everything boxing. He then spoke about why Canelo doesn’t like watching ‘Tank’ win. ‘Money’ also shed light on his 2013 win over Canelo Alvarez.

Canelo fought Mayweather back in 2013 and received a valuable boxing lesson from the veteran. Since fighting Mayweather, Canelo has gone unbeaten, which Mayweather thinks is no big deal.

“He can pick and choose who he wanna fight. Imma tell ya’ll the truth about Canelo. Mo**** easy man, he cakewalk, easy. Ya’ll sitting up here, ya’ll praising this dude. This dude was nothing. I was almost 40 years old when I cooked this dude. Easy,” Mayweather said in the interview.
