“Sources: Canelo Alvarez-Billy Joe Saunders on May 8 will land at either AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (home of Dallas Cowboys) or Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (home of Raiders). With Texas removing all COVID restrictions could lead to a capacity crowd (over 80,000 seats)” he tweeted.

Right after Canelo Alvarez‘s win over Avni Yildirim, his promoter, Eddie Hearn, made his fight with Saunders official. The Mexican boxer has colossal plans of fighting for the undisputed title at the 168-pound category. And he wants to vanquish any and everyone from his way for the same.

Meanwhile, Saunders has defended his WBO belt several times and now he’s looking for an even bigger challenge. The Brit feels he’s in his abrupt prime and nothing can be better than facing someone like Alvarez.

This is predominantly why their promoter Eddie Hearn is adamant about conducting this fight in the mightiest way possible. A suitable location is yet to get finalized for this clash. However, as the global pandemic is still affecting many countries, Hearn will look to pick the best location so that fans can enjoy this fight and everything can be conducted safely.
