The undisputed super-middleweight champion is set to make his return to the boxing ring. Canelo Alvarez last competed in September of last year against his longtime rival Gennady Golovkin. And, is now scheduled to take on John Ryder on May 6 in his hometown Guadalajara, Mexico. Ryder in his own right is a formidable opponent for Alvarez. Ryder, on the other hand, is 39 years old and has been the former interim champion of the division. He stands tall at 5’9 feet/175cm with a 72-inch. Moreover, he is a veteran of the sport and his record stands at 32-5-0 with 10 knockouts, giving him a knockout ratio of 48.65%.
