‘Canelo Alvarez Wants Revenge’: Eddie Hearn Provides an Update on Dmitry Bivol Rematch

Canelo Alvarez is always a hot topic in the boxing community. Eddie Hearn, Promoter for Canelo, revealed details about his next potential fight matchups. Hearn also gave fans a glimpse of what Canelo wants. Alvarez is the current undisputed middleweight world champion. The Mexican fighter won championships in four different weight classes, including unified titles in three and lineal titles in two. Canelo is one of the most accomplished boxers. His pro boxing record is 58 wins, 38 knockouts, and 2 losses. 

However, “Cinnamon” Alvarez hasn’t made any official announcements. Fans are excited to see what this year holds for the Mexican champion.

 Who Will Canelo Alvarez fight next?

In an interview with Dazn Boxing, Eddie Hearn claimed that “Canelo Wants revenge. “. Hearn said this concerning Canelo’s defeat against Dmitry Bivol. The duo fought in May 2022, in which Bivol prevailed as the winner via unanimous decision. Canelo took the defeat personally and wants another chance to redeem himself by defeating Bivol.  “Can Canelo give up his dates so that Bivol can fight Beterbiev first? Hearn was asked in an interview with DAZN boxing, to which Eddie replied with a straight-up “No.”

He moreover added, “At the end of the day, Canelo Alvarez wants revenge. “

According to Hearn, Alvarez is looking forward to fighting John Ryder. Furthermore, Hearn added that they are looking for possible venues for the fight between Alvarez and Ryder. After Ryder, Alvarez wants a date in the ring with Bivol.

The duo first fought back in May 2022. Bivol shocked the world after a stunning performance against the Mexican Champion. The fight continued until the very last round. But, in the end, Dmitri prevailed in the well-fought bout against Canelo via a unanimous decision. Canelo was fighting Bivol for the light heavyweight championship.

This was one of the biggest fights of the Russian Boxer’s career, defeating the Mexican by only 2 points. After the defeat, Canelo emerged victorious in a trilogy match against Genaddiy Golovkin via unanimous decision.

After his fight with Bivol, Canelo hasn’t lost a single fight since. Alvarez has been keen for a rematch with Bivol since the night he lost to him. 

There is no doubt that Canelo will go down in history books as one of the best fighters to ever step in the ring. Who Canelo will fight next is still uncertain. The fans can expect a Canelo Vs. Bovil rematch this Year. Who do you think will win? This time?
