Tech Port Arena in San Antonio witnessed their hero Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez throttling one of the most promising punchers at 115lbs, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai on Saturday night.

DAZN Boxing shared the last moment of the exchange on the social media platform. In this eye-catching clip, Rodriguez dropped the former two-time WBC titleholder Rungvisai with a flurry of punches. Though the challenger appeared to show some resistance to the offense of the champion, it was not enough to push the latter back. The southpaw ‘Bam’ landed some lethal shots that stumbled the legs of the challenger and the fight stopped with the intervention of the referee.

Among the youngest world champions, the 22-year-old stepped inside the ring to defend his WBC super flyweight title against the 35-year-old knockout machine, Rungvisai. In the early go, ‘Bam’ relied on his strength to deal with the power of the latter. However, as the fight went deeper, the champion became more accurate and lethal. The Challenger had no answer to the quick footwork and hand speed of Rodriguez.

Finally, Rodriguez succeeded in stopping the challenger in the eighth round. With this victory, he has improved his record to 16-0.
