Former Unified Heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. pulled off a huge upset in boxing history when he knocked out Anthony Joshua for the world titles in 2019. Although he lost the titles to Joshua in the rematch, Ruiz Jr., showed the blueprint to defeat ‘AJ.’

Before coming across ‘The Destroyer,’ Joshua was undefeated in his pro run. That said, Ruiz Jr.’s coach, Eddy Reynoso, believes that the Mexican will return to winning ways in 2020. Reynoso is one of the best in the business. Thus, his recent statement cannot be ruled out.

Reynoso is a new addition to Ruiz Jr.’s squad, and it can be highly beneficial for him. Considering Reynoso’s experience with Canelo Alvarez and Ryan Garcia, he can probably work his magic on Andy Ruiz too. Thus, parting ways with his former trainer Manny Robles might be a good thing.

Boasting a professional record of 33 wins (22 KOs) and 2 losses, Andy Ruiz Jr. is one of the most promising heavyweight fighters. Since he has also beaten a world champion like Joshua, there’s no way one can write him off. That said, he can bag another championship if things continue to fall in place for ‘The Destroyer.’
