On Saturday night, Chris Arreola will enter the boxing ring after almost two years to take on the ‘Destroyer’, Andy Ruiz Jr. The fans have eagerly awaited this encounter, and it can definitely be one of the best heavyweight fights of 2021. Ahead of this bout, Arreola was in a chat with SiriusXM boxing. Here, he gave his opinion on fighting Ruiz Jr. and more.

“You know what, to be honest, there’s always a risk in losing a lot of weight too fast, you know…Don’t judge a book by its cover. Because this man was in tip-top shape, even though he was a big boy…I’m preparing for the Andy Ruiz that fought Anthony Joshua the first time because he’s that kind of a fighter,” said Arreola.

Andy Ruiz Jr. has been a proficient face in the big men’s division. But he principally turned into an overnight star when he beat Anthony Joshua in 2019.

Nobody prior to him could terrify Joshua that way, but the ‘Destroyer’ abided by his nickname and destroyed ‘AJ‘. Citing this, Chris Arreola has massive respect for Ruiz Jr., and he will be wary of the former champion in their clash later tonight.
