Tyson Fury will take on Anthony Joshua in what will be boxing’s biggest event in 2021. The champions will battle it out for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. And veteran heavyweight Chris Arreola has given his take on the outcome.
Arreola is preparing for his fight against Andy Ruiz Jr. on April 24. The 38-year-old will look to make one last attempt at challenging for a world title before he retires.
However, he took time from his training to offer his two cents on the fight that everyone’s been talking about.

NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 18: Chris Arreola talks with members of the media about his upcoming fight with Adam Kownacki at Barclays Center on June 18, 2019 in New York City. (Photo by Edward Diller/Getty Images)
The American spoke to ESNEWS on YouTube and revealed why he backs Fury to clinch the win. “Fury, because he has more dog in him. And to me, you got to have some dog in you, you know what I mean?” said Arreola.
The 38-year-old then explained, “Once you become civilized, like in Rocky, once you get too used to, f**king, the good life and not wanting to get off those silk sheets, it’s a little hard man.”
Therefore, this comment showed Arreola believes Joshua cannot dig through a fight as Fury can, and thus, ‘The Gypsy King’ will have a better chance.

Is Chris Arreola right with his claims?
These comments from the American were his personal opinions and explained his pick between the two fighters. However, is Arreola right for thinking Joshua doesn’t have the attitude he’s referring to?
Anthony Joshua will certainly disagree with Arreola. The Londoner has previously said his uncivilized approach to the fight would be the defining factor in his favor. Moreover, given his past, ‘AJ’ is a fighter by nature.

However, it is understandable that Arreola has sided with Fury for that particular reason. The WBC champion comes from the proud fighting community of the gypsies and fighting runs in his family.
Therefore, it is no surprise the American thinks Fury will win. What’s more, Fury goes into the bout as the firm favorite. Joshua has a long road ahead with the odds stacked against him.
