Chris Eubank Jr. has been in the middleweight mix for a considerable period and he fairly knows what one needs to stay viable in this division. Consequently, he has put on some consistent performances over the years and has overcome umpteen adversities to carve his best version inside the ring. However, as he isn’t truly satisfied with his stint, he wants to face the likes of Gennady Golovkin.

Eubank Jr. has expressed his interest in fighting Golovkin many times, but he has been pretty unfortunate in the same. Recently, in an exclusive interaction with Sky Sports Boxing, the 31-year-old asserted whether ‘GGG’ is still on his hit list.

He said, ”Absolutely. He’s a middleweight world champion, and that’s a fight that the fans have been calling for, for years now. The fight has to happen and it will happen within the next 12 months.”

Every active middleweight contender has a strong aspiration to test himself against the stout Golovkin. This is because the Kazakh boxer takes his opponents into deep waters and tests them. Accordingly, fighters have to come in with their absolute best plans to tackle ‘GGG’.

Just like any 160-pounder in boxing, Eubank Jr., too, wants to enter a showdown with one of the greats in modern-day boxing. Eubank Jr. already has a fight aligned for October 2 against Sven Elbir. A win here will help him move one step closer to his dream fight.

As both the pugilists are staunch knockouts artists, their fights can end in a flash. That said, a fight between these two would definitely not cross more than 10 rounds. If it does, it will have been a boxing bout for the ages.
