Chris Eubank Jr. to Return on May 1, Opponent and Other Details Announced

Former IBO super-middleweight champion, Chris Eubank Jr. is all charged up to enter the boxing ring on May 1. He will contend with Marcus Morrison in a 10-round middleweight fight at a location yet to be finalized. This will be Eubank Jr.’s much-awaited return fight wherein the Brit will look to regain his old momentum.
Recently, his promoter, Kalle Sauerland, spoke to iFL TV on Eubank Jr.’s return and more.
“Absolutely, we’re looking forward to welcome Chris Eubank Jr., back in the UK.”

“Yeah couldn’t be happier, it sets up, it’s a tough fight but we hope it sets up a fantastic year. As we said it’s this fight and then we move on the summer but first we all gotta focus on this fight and then move on to the big one over the summer,” said Sauerland.
The 31-year-old last fought in 2019 for the interim WBA middleweight belt. Putting on a classic performance in this fight, Eubank Jr. dispatched his fellow opponent, Matvey Korobov, in just the second round.
But ever since that win, he didn’t compete at all, thus showcasing a lackluster run. However, he’s gotten past the same and has a clean focus on what he wishes to achieve.

In the super-middleweight division, Eubank Jr. has proved his worth many times and has showcased vast skill sets from his arsenal.
He will look forward to presenting his polished version on May 1 to overpower his opponent. If he defends his interim title in this bout, he’ll align himself on top for a title shot against the WBA champ, Ryota Murata.
