Whether or not he plans on getting on board the trend, hip-hop legend Drake or Aubrey Graham recently shared a clip of him working the pads with a boxing trainer.

This gained traction as the video was uploaded by Bleacher Report and it blew up on Twitter immediately.
Fans of Drake, boxing purists, and even boxing’s finest Claressa Shields reacted to the rapper’s training video.

Amongst others, world champion and boxing icon Claressa Shields reacted to Drake’s boxing training. She initially retweeted “He actually looking alright“. This coming from an actual world champion in multiple divisions surprised many fans of the sport.

Claressa Shields then reacted to a reply to her initial post. She laughed off a comment that said “Stop it, next thing we know we gonna have r&b rappers boxing on triller next ! Lol”.

She then further added in another tweet that even though Drake was not perfect, she was impressed by his ability to turn his body with the punches. Shields highlighted “Boxing is not just for boxers, many people use boxing as fitness”.
