Claressa Shields and Twitter React to Drake’s Boxing Skills

Rap star Drake recently revealed a video of him working the pads with a boxing trainer. Twitter immediately blew up and fans were quick to react. Even pro-boxing world champion Claressa Shields shared her thoughts on the rapper’s form.

Jake Paul and Logan Paul started a movement in the world of boxing nearly a year ago. In a brief span of time, the Paul brothers have become the biggest names in the sport.

With not even five professional fights on their professional records, they have fought some of the biggest names in combat sports and have put up some of the highest-grossing fights of all time

‘The Paul Effect’ spread like wildfire. It gave rise to a whole new domain in boxing. Today, many influencers, celebrities, MMA fighters, and even retired boxing legends want to enter the squared circle.

Whether or not he plans on getting on board the trend, hip-hop legend Drake or Aubrey Graham recently shared a clip of him working the pads with a boxing trainer.

This gained traction as the video was uploaded by Bleacher Report and it blew up on Twitter immediately.

Fans of Drake, boxing purists, and even boxing’s finest Claressa Shields reacted to the rapper’s training video.

Amongst others, world champion and boxing icon Claressa Shields reacted to Drake’s boxing training. She initially retweeted “He actually looking alright“. This coming from an actual world champion in multiple divisions surprised many fans of the sport.

Claressa Shields then reacted to a reply to her initial post. She laughed off a comment that said “Stop it, next thing we know we gonna have r&b rappers boxing on triller next ! Lol”.

She then further added in another tweet that even though Drake was not perfect, she was impressed by his ability to turn his body with the punches. Shields highlighted “Boxing is not just for boxers, many people use boxing as fitness”. 

 

Then there were also many fans who were quick to tag Jake Paul in their comments. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is now one of the most talked-about fighters in the sport currently; it seems a Drake-Jake Paul or even Logan Paul matchup is something fans would actually consider worth paying for!
