Many regarded Shields as the greatest female boxer ever, but many have also doubted her. Moreover, she addresses this issue in a tweet stating that people would still doubt her even if she beat Marshal.” When I whoop Savannah some of y’all still gonna say “she still not the GWOAT, Savannah wasn’t that good that.” she wrote.

However, it looks like one fan wants the GWOAT to face a tougher opponent if she wants to cement her legacy as the best female boxer. In a recent tweet, a fan urged Shields to face undisputed middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez to prove her legacy. “You need to fight Canelo,” he wrote

Following this, Shields had a fitting reply for the fan as she hilariously claimed that she was not interested in facing boxers of the different gender. “Lol I’m straight,” she wrote.

It looks like Shields will certainly not entertain a fight with the Mexican star. And there might not be a sanctioning body willing to approve such a bizarre matchup.

Claressa Shields was shocked after being stripped of a title

Shields is a fighter that has competed across multiple weight divisions. However, this means that she could be stripped of a title if she does not compete in for a brief period. This was exactly what happened after The Ring magazine stripped her of the super welterweight title.

What the h*ll y’all talking about?” She wrote. Although she might have been stripped of her belt, the GWOAT has plans to compete for the belt after her bout with Marshal.
