Undisputed female light middleweight champion Claressa Shields is set to face long-time rival Savannah Marshall on October 15th. The bout will be for Shields’ undisputed world middleweight championship. The fight was rescheduled for Oct. 15 as the two-time Olympic gold medalist is scheduled to return to MMA and compete in the Professional Fighters League in November.
Many regarded Shields as the greatest female boxer ever, but many have also doubted her. Moreover, she addresses this issue in a tweet stating that people would still doubt her even if she beat Marshal.” When I whoop Savannah some of y’all still gonna say “she still not the GWOAT, Savannah wasn’t that good that.” she wrote.

Following this, Shields had a fitting reply for the fan as she hilariously claimed that she was not interested in facing boxers of the different gender. “Lol I’m straight,” she wrote.

It looks like Shields will certainly not entertain a fight with the Mexican star. And there might not be a sanctioning body willing to approve such a bizarre matchup.
