Big fights are on the horizon for the rest of 2025, and three-division undisputed champion Claressa Shields wants in. The two-time Olympic gold medalist recently took to X to make a special request to His Excellency Turki Alalshikh following the official announcement of the highly anticipated Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford showdown.

After months of trash talk between the fighters, Ring Magazine revealed that Canelo and Crawford have reached an agreement to fight in September. While a specific date doesn’t seem to have been confirmed by the Saudis, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is being eyed as the venue for the fight. Meanwhile, Shields seems to have her own plans for the blockbuster event.

You see, earlier today, ‘According to Boxing’ hopped on X to suggest that Claressa Shields, as “the most accomplished women’s boxer in the history of the sport” should be on the Canelo vs. Crawford card. Notably, Shields created history in her last fight to become the only boxer in the history of the sport to attain undisputed status in three weight classes.

She is also the only female boxer to have undisputed status in the heavyweight division. Shields defeated Brooklyn’s 42-year-old Danielle Perkins via unanimous decision to accomplish the impressive feat. Regardless, the post seems to have caught the Flint, Michigan native’s eye, as she reached out to Alalshikh to make it happen.

“This is a fight I’ll fight the co-main event too, if offered the opportunity @Turki_alalshikh 🙇🏾‍♀️,” Shields wrote on X. Notably, the undercard details for the fight have not been revealed, but speculations suggest the Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney rematch could feature in the card, which will be tough for Shields to replace.

Meanwhile, Claressa Shields has revealed that it will be tough to top her last fight.
