Terence Crawford recently came out of a yearlong hiatus to showcase a stellar performance against David Avanesyan. He impressed both fans and the boxing community with his knockout victory. However, there were a few individuals who were not very dazzled by Crawford’s performance. In fact, three-division world champion Gervonta Davis happens to be one of them.

Crawford faced Avanesyan at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska on December 10, 2022. Moreover, his WBO welterweight title was on the line.

This was Crawford’s first fight after his victory against Shawn Porter in 2021.

There is no denying that Terence Crawford showcased his sensational skillset in his fight against David Avanesyan. He went on to win the fight via a 6th-round TKO, thereby retaining his title.

Talking about his experience fighting Avanesyan, he said, “I was just warming up in the earlier rounds. I just started picking up the pace, planting my seeds and hit him with the hook. We knew what he was going to bring to the table, from orthodox to southpaw.”

Meanwhile, a fan took to Twitter to ask Gervonta Davis about his thoughts about the fight. And asked him if he could ‘hang with’ Crawford. It can be speculated that the fan was referring to a potential fight between the duo.

Davis responded by mentioning that he was not too impressed with the fight and mentioned that the fight was a sparring session.

It should be mentioned that the fan had previously asked Davis about the fight. However, Davis responded by being unfamiliar with the same.

An interesting point to note is that Davis swiftly deleted his tweet. Fans, on the other hand, were quick to notice it and went on to share their thoughts about the same.

User @DeandreHayz called Davis out for deleting his tweet.

Meanwhile, another user seemed to be impressed by the knockout.

However, a few fans nodded in agreement with Davis. And mentioned that Crawford’s fight was not impressive.

But a few fans felt that Davis did not have the room to talk about that due to his own resume.
