Paul is currently set to fight former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, on October 29th. He considers Silva to be one of his idols and cherishes the opportunity to share the ring with him. However, he also considers Tyson as one of his idols and revealed that he wanted to fight him as well.

Jake Paul calls out Mike Tyson for a fight

In the pre-fight press conference leading up to the Silva fight, Paul was asked if there was any other fighter besides ‘The Spider’ that he would like to face. He stated that he would like to face Tyson and called him out for a match. He also inferred the time Iron Mike called him out on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Mike Tyson, that’d be crazy, yeah, and I have so much respect for him. He’s another one of my idols and I think he said he wanted to do the fight. Mike, where you at, bro? you said it on Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel or what one of the Jimmies so let’s make it happen,” said Paul.

Although this might be a good experience for Paul, Tyson is not currently in the physical condition to fight. It was revealed that the former heavyweight champion is suffering from a sciatica flare-up in his lower back, which had caused him to rest for weeks when he could not get out of bed. Moreover, concerns were amplified after he was seen in a wheelchair a couple of weeks back.

Will Tyson vs Paul take place?

There was a lot of speculation about this fight and it is certainly possible that both sides were in talks for a match. However, after Tyson’s health concerns, this fight is looking a little far-fetched. Tyson is 56 years old and suffering from a host of conditions that will affect him during the fight.

If somehow Iron Mike manages to get healthy and back in fighting condition, he could possibly fight the Ohio-based boxer, although that is highly unlikely.
