Anthony Joshua suffered a terrifying loss to Oleksandr Usyk on September 25. This fight proved to be the toughest ever boxing appearance for the Brit because he hardly enjoyed any success. Joshua, who is known to crucify his opponents with his right-hand power, failed to land one significant fight-ending strike.
As ‘AJ’ has triggered a rematch with his Ukrainian foe, this fight will possibly come to life by early 2022. But how can Joshua beat Usyk? Is he really capable of smothering someone as elite as ‘The Cat’?

Recently, WBO cruiserweight champ Lawrence Okolie revealed that Joshua beat Usyk like how Tyson Fury vanquished Deontay Wilder.
Speaking to Daily Mail, he said, “There’s stuff AJ can do to try and change the way the fight looks and feels, and I think he will.”

“As you saw with Fury and Wilder, Wilder is an exceptional fighter, an exceptional puncher. But Fury decided, you know what, I’m 277-pounds and I’m going to let you know it. Joshua has met with Eddy Reynoso and Ronnie Shields. This is a statement of intent to change things. Hence, he could opt to use his weight against the lighter Usyk.

How can Anthony Joshua beat Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch?
‘The Cat’ Usyk had one thing in mind while he fought Joshua– stay away from Anthony Joshua’s fist and ensure he isn’t in range. Hence, he moved and utilized the entire ring space to tire ‘AJ’.

That said, if the ex-champ wants to beat Usyk by any means, he’ll have to instill raw pace in his movements and overall punching. Only if he does so, he will be able to use Fury’s tactic and let Usyk feel his weight.
