Someone is looking for attention from the heavy hitters in mainstream boxing. In a surprising twist, influencer boxer Deen TheGreat (Nurideen Shahid Shabazz) seems to have started some beef with rising star Curmel Moton. Following Saturday night’s showdown between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney, ‘Big Deal’ Moton hopped on social media to express his thoughts.

In an unforeseen, unimagined and nail biting show of performance, ‘The Flash’ shocked the world by defeating Haney via majority decision. So, Floyd Mayweather’s prodigy wrote on X yesterday, “Ryan was trolling [the] whole time. I knew he had skills, but I [didn’t] think he was focused. Congrats to him!”

A potential fight in the making?

Moton’s tweet seems to have rubbed the wrong way with Deen TheGreat for some unknown reason, as he decided to write back, asking Moton to “Shut up.” This was not a wise decision on the influencer boxer’s part, as he would learn quickly when Moton responded with a harshly worded message.

Reacting to Deen TheGreat’s unprovoked comment on his seemingly harmless tweet congratulating Garcia for the win, ‘Big Deal’ Moton lashed out. Moton wrote back, “I’ll beat tf outta yo clown a** stick to ya YouTuber fights lil ni**a.” This, of course, wasn’t the end to the conversation, as the influencer boxer wrote back, “Don’t forget u called me out lil bro.. this ‘YouTuber’ would put yo career in the dirt.” While it may seem unlikely that Moton called out Deen TheGreat for a fight, it in fact is true.

Back in July last year, before Moton made his professional debut against Ezequiel Flores, Moton appeared in an interview with Southpaw TV, discussing the influencer boxer. Allegedly, Deen TheGreat had made wild claims about beating up Floyd Mayweather, so Moton wanted to put himself forward for a potential fight.

When the reporter brought up the topic, Moton said, “I mean, I have seen [him] talking about he whoop Floyd as**… So, let’s make it happen…” Later, when the reporter pointed out the fight wouldn’t even be close or fair for the influencer boxer, Moton said, “He [is] Goofy…” It’s safe to say that it might not be a fair fight, but it has the potential of making both fighters a boatload of cash, given Deen TheGreat’s popularity.

Considering the prior beef between Curmel Moton and Deen TheGreat, a fight between them might not be the worst idea. However, whether this sudden back and forth on social media turns into a fight is yet to be seen. Do you think Moton should fight Deen TheGreat?
