Mike Tyson’s podcast show Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson has so far hosted a number of famous guests who have shared candid details about their lives and the pathways they followed to excellence. DaBaby, a well-known American rapper, was a guest on the most recent episode of the show. The show began with an intriguing but simple question posed by Tyson. He asked DaBaby where his name came from.

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk went on to explain how he got the name ‘DaBaby’. The international rap superstar stated, “I mean I’ve been the baby since legit like my mama’s youngest son. Yes, I’m the youngest out of three boys. So I’ve been Dababy my whole life you know. I mean when I first started ripping I went by the name Baby Jesus like off the rib and I changed it to Dababy.”

DaBaby gained notoriety in 2019 as his album ‘Baby on Baby’ proved popular with listeners. Since then, he has grown to be a well-known figure with a sizable following worldwide. The Cleveland native has also worked with some of the biggest artists, like Dua Lipa and Post Malone.

Mike Tyson names his top 50 boxers

The former heavyweight world champion is a passionate music fan, and rap music is evidently one of his favorite genres. In fact, the late rapper Tupac Shakur was certainly among his closest pals. The two had a unique bond with one another. Mike Tyson has referenced the rapper’s name and love for him numerous times in his podcast since the rapper’s passing.

That being said, many well-known celebrities shared their lists of the top 50 rappers back in 2019. Even ‘Iron Mike’ posted his top 50 rappers list to Instagram for his followers to see, and he wrote in the caption, “@fredfrenchy asked me to get y’all my top 50 rappers of all time list. Here it is”

Interestingly, fans were surprised to see ‘Biggie’ as number one on Tyson’s list. Fans were expecting that Tyson would place Tupac on the top, but he placed him on the second.
