Heavyweight veteran Mike Tyson lived up to the hype as he put on some serious action against Roy Jones Jr. in their recently concluded exhibition clash. The fight ended in a draw. However, ‘Iron’ Mike dominated the contest with some clean strike throughout the 16 minutes.
He began the fight with early aggression and went straight after Roy Jones Jr. He did so despite knockouts being off the table as it was an exhibition. But, Tyson constantly overpowered Jones with some slick body shots and combinations. Even though ‘Captain Hook’ reciprocated, he could not cause much damage to Tyson.
Now that their fight is part of the history books, the two legends are eager to have one more fight. Mike Tyson has vowed to do so after a discussion with family; Jones might also have the same motive. That said, their first fight has grabbed attention from all over the globe.

I’m aware there will be people who liked the fight for various reasons. Better than expected and Tyson showed flashes they wanted. But in what context. Never mind, I know. And understand. #TysonJones #tysonvsjones

What’s next for Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.?
Despite hitting their dotage, Tyson and Roy Jones have successfully completed their comebacks. As mentioned, if they accept more fights, there will be plenty of options available for them.
Former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield has teased his return in the meantime. If he returns for a trilogy fight against Tyson, it might be bigger than that against Roy Jones Jr. The heavyweight champions had a vile feud in their prime that ended with Holyfield beating Tyson twice.
However, ‘Iron’ can finally open his account against ‘The Real Deal’ if he so desires. The fans would absolutely love to see this fight come to fruition.

He ended a two-year period away from the squared circle, and it’s safe to say that he has still got some fireworks in him. However, he is rusty at this stage and doesn’t need to prove anything else in his career. So, he may opt to finally call it a day.
What did you make of the mega clash?
