Daniel Dubois Returns to Training in His Back Garden After Horrific Injury

Highly-rated heavyweight prospect, Daniel Dubois, has shared some good news for fans. The 23-year-old British heavyweight has begun the rebuilding process and is back in training after he sustained a horrific eye injury in his last bout against Joe Joyce.

Dubois was one of the biggest prospects in the heavyweight division. Many experts touted the young heavyweight to be the man that beats both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. However, his path to the title took a massive blow when Joe Joyce beat him.

Since then, he seems to have recovered and has gotten back to training. Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions shared video footage of the 23-year-old working out on the bars, in what appeared to be his back garden. This video will delight his fans who were fretting over his injury after the Joyce fight.

The ‘Dynamite’ suffered a serious injury where ‘Juggernaut’s’ jabs fractured his eye-socket and even caused damage to his retina. Such was the seriousness of the injury that his team gave no time frame for his return. However, his promoter Frank Warren has confirmed the recovery, and he gave a potential timeline for his return.

What next for Daniel Dubois?

The English heavyweight is only 23-years-old. Therefore, he has the bulk of his career in front of him. However, the manner in which he suffered his first defeat after so much hype could take a toll on him. So what should the ‘Dynamite’ be looking for next?

Warren has stated that they will be patient and handle the situation carefully. Moreover, getting into the ring with another top contender would be a massive risk. However, taking on lower opposition could lead to criticism from fans and rivals alike. Therefore, Dubois must find an opponent with the correct balance.
