How often do two brothers fight on the same fight card, under the same lights, in front of the same crowd? The undefeated boxer, David Benavidez, is confident about his clash with Demetrius Andrade. But David’s confidence extends to his brother’s fight as well. Jose Benavidez Jr. will go toe-to-toe with 32-0 Jermall Charlo on the same night in the co-main event. So, while appearing in an interview with Fight Hub TV, the younger Benavidez brother boldly declared that Jermell Charlo is “scared” to face his older brother Benavidez. However, he also expressed his jealousy about the fight scheduled to unfold in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino’s Michelob ULTRA Arena, in Las Vegas. At the same time, some questions linger! David Benavidez claims Jermall Charlo will get knocked out
While speaking to Fight Hub TV, David Benavidez suggested that Jermall is scared of his brother because Charlo knows he is going to get KOed. He also added that Charlo is saying stupid things because of the same reason. “I feel like Charlo is scared. He knows he’s going to get knocked out. That’s why he’s just saying dumba** s**t,” remarked Benavidez.
David went on to reveal that he is jealous of his older brother’s fight with Jermall Charlo because he wanted to knock him out first. “Honestly, I’m a little bit jealous. My brother gets to knock him out before me,” said David. In addition, the 27-0 boxer said that November 25 would be a great night for boxing as the last event for Showtime pay-per-view.
Jose Benavidez takes a shot at Charlo’s mental health
The upcoming fight between Charlo and Jose would be Charlo’s first fight since his 29-month break from boxing. Charlo was suffering from some mental health issues during this period, justifying the break. However, the topic took a dark turn during a recent interview on TstreeT Controversy YouTube channel when Jose suggested Charlo used his mental health as an excuse to stay out of the ring.

During the interview, Charlo asserted that he could beat both Jose and his younger brother, David. In response, Jose Benavidez dragged in Charlo’s mental illness by saying, “Your mental illness, p***y.” Later in the interview, Charlo defended himself and claimed he was still fighting rather than making excuses. “I’m still fighting. I’m not making excuses over there crying,” said Charlo.
