This was one highly important bout for the Mexican star, and he enthralled his fans as he claimed his fifty-seventh win. After putting on a beating on Plant for over 30 minutes, Alvarez finally concluded the bout with a T/KO in round 11.

Speaking to FightHype, he said, “I’m a combination puncher; I’ve got a great jab and some great body shots.”

“I’m hungry, and I want this opportunity. I feel like I can hurt you, and I believe in my punching power. So, I know he’s [Canelo] strong too, but I feel if I land the right shots, I can hurt him too.”
