Canelo Alvarez defied the odds and gave a response to the naysayers with his sensational performance against Caleb Plant. This was one highly important bout for the Mexican star, and he enthralled his fans as he claimed his fifty-seventh win. After putting on a beating on Plant for over 30 minutes, Alvarez finally concluded the bout with a T/KO in round 11.

Following the fight, boxing pundits and modern-day stars have given their opinion on the same. The ex-super middleweight champ, David Benavidez, was among them.

“I think he [Plant] shouldn’t have run his mouth so much and made a big deal, but I guess you got to do what you got to do to sell the fights. It was a good fight.” (h/t Boxing News 24)
