Meanwhile, Benavidez recently shed some light on what Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant could look like on November 6. He believes this fight could see a ‘pressure creates diamonds’ scenario. Since there is so much at stake here, David Benavidez feels fans could see the best version of the IBF titlist on fight night.

To be honest, this fight, as it is getting closer and closer, it is going to be a better fight than what people are expecting it to be. I think people are thinking Canelo is just going to run through Caleb Plant, but I feel like there is so much at stake, that this is what makes great fighters great. Not saying that me calling Caleb Plant great or anything but sometimes the situation brings the best out in you.

He expects Caleb Plant to fire on all cylinders and even win three or four rounds; however, by no means does he think that the Tennessee native has any real chance at beating Alvarez.

Benavidez highlighted Plant’s knockout-light record and suggested that Canelo will easily overpower him throughout the fight.

“So, it basically a 50% KO ratio. You need to be a hard hitter to keep Canelo off of you, or else he’s going to be coming back and forth, he’s going to be coming at you all night,” said David Benavidez.
