The much-anticipated rematch between Whyte and boxing juggernaut Anthony Joshua was suddenly thrown into jeopardy. Fans, who had marked their calendars and were eagerly awaiting this clash, now found themselves grappling with news about irregularities in Whyte’s pre-fight drug screening.

Seizing the moment to address the anxious crowd, Eddie Hearn, the mastermind promoter behind many of boxing’s blockbuster events, offered his candid viewpoint.
Speaking about the situation, Hearn divulged, “Yeah, I think so. I don’t know what Dillian is gonna do or how he’s gonna go about this situation – but it’s a huge, huge fight on his hands.”

Following the failed drug test, news quickly emerged that Robert Helenius would step in, replacing Dillian Whyte to face Anthony Joshua in the upcoming bout.

The Meteoric Rise of ‘The Nordic Nightmare’
Born in 1984, Robert Helenius, famously known as ‘The Nordic Nightmare’, started boxing at a tender age of five. By 2008, Helenius made his professional debut. Setting off a twelve-match winning streak that peaked with him securing the European Union Heavyweight title in 2010.
Not stopping there, he soon added the WBO Inter-Continental Heavyweight belt to his accolades. 2011 was a landmark year for Helenius; he not only retained the Inter-Continental titles but also controversially defeated Derek Chisora to grab the vacant European Heavyweight title. After a brief hiatus, he returned in 2015 to claim the IBF International and European Heavyweight belts.
