DAZN Releases Sick Promo for Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders

DAZN has released a fantastic promotional video for what could be the fight of the year. The streaming platform revealed the video for the super middleweight unification bout between Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders. This could be one of their most epic ones yet.

Rumors have long suggested that the two super-middleweights will collide. Moreover, both fighters have shared a hot and cold rivalry outside the boxing ring. However, they will now get to settle it within the ropes.

Reports previously suggested that Saunders and Alvarez had already agreed to a fight on May 8. However, it all depended on Alvarez’s fight against Avni Yildirim. The Mexican took care of business by beating the Turkish challenger with relative ease.

As a result, DAZN could officially announce the fight between the two. They did so by posting the insane promo video to their YouTube channel. The video showed some of Canelo’s best bits with some of Saunders’ best moments in the ring.

It also revealed that the pair will fight on the ‘Cinco De Mayo’ weekend, which falls on May 8. Moreover, the video showed the three titles that the two super middleweights will battle it out for, i.e., the WBO, WBA, and WBC belts.

Although the Yildirim fight was a let-down, the Saunders bout will be anything but that. Alvarez has already admitted the Englishman would make a tough fight. The Mexican revealed why he is chasing the undisputed title in the post-fight interview; Saunders called for big fights after his last victory in December. Therefore, both fighters were desperate to make it happen and they have now gotten their wish.
