Floyd Mayweather Jr has established himself as the king of ‘Exhibition ‘ boxing matches. It is safe to say that Mayweather has been one of the most active boxers since his retirement in 2017. The former boxing champion recently entered the ring for an exhibition bout with a former British MMA fighter Aaron Chalmers. But the bout between the two has been a subject of many controversies. During the fight between the two, there seemed to be confusion regarding the total number of rounds they were supposed to fight for.
A lot of claims have been made regarding the fight by the fans. The major bone of contention is that the bout duration between the two was changed while the fight was going on.

A last-minute change…
The exhibition bout between the fighters held at the O2 arena ended in a no-decision. But that is not what attracted the fans. Fans were bothered by how the match went for longer than expected. A video shared on Twitter by a user shows how even the commentators were confused concerning the number of rounds scheduled for the fight.

In the video shared, the commentators can be heard saying, “Are they going more round? I thought it was six.” Moreover, one commentator added, “On the TV broadcast, it said six, but they said eight in the announcement. Maybe there is two more rounds.”
This commentary during the fight caused a wave of confusion among the spectators of the fight.
This fight was one of the biggest fights of Chalmer’s career. But Mayweather Jr’s charm did not work on his fans this time. They could not attract a large crowd for this event. Moreover, renowned boxing promoter Eddie Hearn had predicted very low PPV numbers for Mayweather Jr’s exhibition fight again Chalmers.
