Heavyweight superstar, Deontay Wilder, is currently on cloud nine after his recent sensational performance against Robert Helenius. The boxing fraternity and fans were in awe of his explosive return. However, not everyone was pleased with his performance. In fact, former WBC interim heavyweight titleholder, Dillian Whyte, recently made some serious accusations about Wilder.

Wilder faced Helenius at the Barclays Center in New York City on October 15, 2022. And went on to win the bout via a first-round knockout.

Meanwhile, Whyte was in an interview with MailOnline. It should be mentioned that he was a long-time contender for Wilder’s WBC heavyweight belt. However, the fight could not be materialized, and Wilder ended up losing the same to Tyson Fury.

Talking about the same, Whyte said, “I heard that Wilder still doesn’t want to fight me. He is the biggest fraud in all of sport, never mind boxing.”

Moreover, he further added, “Who doesn’t fight his number one contender for over four years and then claims he is the greatest of all time? He hasn’t actually beaten anyone of note yet.”

Whyte also went on to call Wilder a ‘cowardly con man’.

Dillian Whyte accuses Deontay Wilder of ‘fake crying’

Deontay Wilder was seriously worried about Robert Helenius’ well-being after the knockout. In fact, he went on to address the same during the post-fight interview.

In an emotional discourse, he even took the example of Prichard Colon, who was left paralyzed after a fight. Wilder mentioned that Colon will never know what it is to be a father. And that he might have been the breadwinner of his family. But, his family has to take care of him after his in-ring accident. Talking about Helenius, he said, “We don’t know if Robert is going to be the same after this. I just did a job. I’m great at what I do but I don’t mean to take people away from the lifestyle they’re living. I’m just trying to support my family as well.”

Whyte was not convinced by Wilder’s words. He mentioned that Wilder was ‘fake crying’ and that he was ‘an actor’.
