Former WBC champion Deontay Wilder has seemingly lost his credibility with the fans since losing the title against Tyson Fury in February. Instead of accepting the lopsided defeat, Wilder has been constantly demeaning Fury’s effort.
Apart from that, he has also put on some bizarre concepts to explain the loss. First, he blamed his ‘overweight’ walkout costume for hampering the legs. Then, he has accused his trainer Mark Breland of being a double agent, followed with the stories of his water being spiked and Fury putting extra weight on his gloves.

That said, the boxing community has already reiterated, suggesting that Wilder seek help. People have been mocking him throughout and with no urgency of return, many believe that Deontay Wilder has lost his relevancy. However, he is still one of the best heavyweights in the world and Kevin Barry has given his two cents, giving ‘The Bronze Bomber’ some advice.
Deontay Wilder has some golden advice from Kevin Barry
Barry has recently connected with the IFL TV to shed his opinion on the ongoing situation with Wilder. He bills the former champion as a “good man” but also believes that Wilder will be disappointed by his recent statements in the future.
He said, “I like Deontay Wilder. I think he is really a good guy and I am really happy for my friend Malik Scott to take the position as a part of his training team now.

“But you know you were looking at it from the outside, you would have to come to the conclusion that Deontay Wilder is hurting and he is hurting a lot and you know for a man who was so proud, so unbeatable and so menacing for so long. The way that he lost his last fight against Tyson Fury. I think he is not just been able to accept it and his pain and his anger is very apparent and has come out in a lot of things that he has said.”

However, Wilder’s excuses haven’t been bought by any. None of the A-listed boxers are in his favor, and Kevin feels that Wilder will regret his statements.

He said, “I personally think that in the years to come he will regret and be disappointed with himself for some of the things that he has been saying because obviously it’s a little unfair, and it’s at times embarrassing.”
Meanwhile, Wilder’s faux Fury has postponed his return to the next year. He is open to facing Wilder again if Anthony Joshua loses against Kubrat Pulev. Thus, Wilder has a big opportunity to get his lost crown again.
