In the wild and wacky world of boxing, where tales of epic battles are spun, Deontay Wilder just added an unbelievable twist. Wilder has been out of the ring for quite a while now, appearing once to fight Robert Helenius in 2022. Otherwise, Wilder’s career has taken a backseat as other big names in the heavyweight division continued to make a name for themselves. However, in a surprising turn of events, the ‘Bronze Bomber’ has dropped a massive bombshell on the boxing world, revealing a secret.

At this point, everyone knows about the epic trilogy between Wilder and the ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury. But no one, literally no one, knew about Wilder’s fights with ‘the Cat’ Oleksandr Usyk that never happened. While appearing in an interview with ES News, the hardest hitter in boxing revealed he was supposed to fight Usyk three times.

During the interview, Elie Seckbach questioned Wilder about a potential fight with the Ukranian undefeated boxer. Responding confidently, Wilder claimed that Usyk didn’t want to fight him despite his efforts to arrange the fight. “Usyk don’t want it. I tried many times,” said Wilder. He then went on to reveal a previously unknown piece of news: “We were supposed to fight like 3 times.”

Later in the interview, Wilder asserted that fans and the wider public never knew about it. But people in the boxing business were aware of it. “The world don’t know this, but the business of boxing does,” said Wilder. He suggested Usyk is avoiding a fight with him because of Wilder’s ability to end fights in a snap. “I understand why guys don’t want to risk fighting me because I have the ultimate power,” said Wilder.

Wilder speaks out about Fury vs. Ngannou

After losing to Tyson Fury, Wilder accused Fury of cheating by inserting something in his gloves. However, nothing came out of it since there was no solid proof behind those acquisitions. Skipping to the time after Francis Ngannou dropped Fury in the third round of their crossover fight, Wilder has finally spoken about it.
