Despite the underdog status, Deontay Wilder seems to possess sheer self-belief about vanquishing Tyson Fury for the WBC world title when they collide in a trilogy bout on July 24. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ may not want to score an easy win and has expressed that he intends to hurt Fury in the ring. Well, that is not news to the American boxer’s fans.
In the past, Wilder had vowed to add a body to his record, which caused widespread resentment amongst fans. Although he hasn’t said a similar thing for Fury, Wilder’s goal may remain the same. Ahead of the big return, he posted a picture on social media and shocked several fans. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ revealed blood-stains on his shoes to reflect the intensity of his ongoing sessions.

He wrote in the caption, “16 rds it went down. What’s understood don’t have to be explained.”
After the scratchy defeat against Tyson Fury in 2020, Wilder took more than a year to come out of silence. While many had predicted that he would retire, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ is back at the championship ride.
