A potential title win in the cruiserweight division will turn Canelo Alvarez into a five-division world champion. The 31-year-old looks likely to challenge Ilunga Makabu for his WBC 200 lbs strap on returning to action. Meanwhile, some people envision him exploring the heavyweight division in the future.

Alvarez may not have the biggest physical frame, but Deontay Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott has given the P4P king a chance. In a chat with ES News, Scott said, “I think there’s heavyweights, Canelo can beat. It depends on what heavyweight he is in with. Cause from what I have been hearing, he is actually sparring [Frank] Sanchez”
