After a clean 2-0 victory against Germany, 37-year-old British heavyweight pugilist, Derek ‘War’ Chisora is confident that England is on track to win Euro 2020.

Team England’s performance against the Germans convinced him to bet £6,000 with a massive payout stake of £36,000. The heavyweight showed his support for the England team by sharing his betting slip on Instagram. Per Michael Benson’s tweet, he captioned it, “it’s coming home.”

While this might seem like a large bet on England’s victory in the Euros, Chisora is no stranger to betting big on his beliefs. Ahead of the Canelo Alvarez-Billy Joe Saunders bout in May 2021, Derek placed £8,500 on Saunders to win. However, Billy Joe Saunders‘ team threw in the towel after Round 8 as ‘Superb’ suffered an eye injury.

If Saunders had won that fight against the super-middleweight champ, it would have generated a £54,000 payout for Derek Chisora.
