After a clean 2-0 victory against Germany, 37-year-old British heavyweight pugilist, Derek ‘War’ Chisora is confident that England is on track to win Euro 2020.

Team England’s performance against the Germans convinced him to bet £6,000 with a massive payout stake of £36,000. The heavyweight showed his support for the England team by sharing his betting slip on Instagram. Per Michael Benson’s tweet, he captioned it, “it’s coming home.”

While this might seem like a large bet on England’s victory in the Euros, Chisora is no stranger to betting big on his beliefs. Ahead of the Canelo Alvarez-Billy Joe Saunders bout in May 2021, Derek placed £8,500 on Saunders to win. However, Billy Joe Saunders‘ team threw in the towel after Round 8 as ‘Superb’ suffered an eye injury.

If Saunders had won that fight against the super-middleweight champ, it would have generated a £54,000 payout for Derek Chisora.

What’s next for Derek Chisora?

Derek Chisora is coming off two consecutive losses against Oleksandr Usyk in 2020 and Joseph Parker in May 2021. Per reports, Joseph Parker is currently in negotiations for a rematch with British heavyweight Derek Chisora. Parker beat Chisora by split decision during their bout in May 2021.

There’s talk of Dereck Chisora and a rematch. If I was Chisora, I’d be planning my retirement after that fight if it is to happen,” said Parker’s Manager in an interview with Sky Sports.

Confident in his abilities, Joseph Parker wants to use this fight against Derek Chisora as a warm-up bout for rematches with Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.

I am beyond getting upset now. I train hard, I bring everything and this is the treatment I get from boxing. Same as the last fight.

“They don’t like me. I put it all in there and this is the result I get. This is unbelievable. Even his coach Andy Lee said I won the fight.said Chisora after the fight.

Even Derek’s old rival Dillian Whyte sympathized with him and saidBoxing is mad. Dereck Chisora got robbed.”

Clearly, Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora have unfinished business. With his current “it’s coming home” mindset, can Derek Chisora put a stop to Joseph Parker and get back into the win column?
