There was a time when boxing and clinging to the world heavyweight title was bigger than life for Mike Tyson. His in-ring performance and off-ring controversies were part of every discussion in the boxing world. Unlike others, his presence was felt strongly. When it comes to things we do for our friends, ‘Iron Mike’ would certainly start swinging, if needed.
If there’s one thing boxing fans around the world would unitedly agree to, is the title ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ suits no one better than Mike Tyson. Unlike other fighters, when Tyson trash-talked, he was able to back it up. Nothing was bestowed on him, it was sheer hard work. During his prime, ‘Iron Mike’ was a force to be reckoned with.
Every bit of him was intimidating. His look, his style, his way of talking and dressing, everything was catchy and scary. His presence used to make the atmosphere hostile. Despite this, Sam Watson, who claims himself as one of Tyson’s best friends stated that it was Evander Holyfield, who owns the scariest dressing room.

What made Watson say that Holyfield had the scariest dressing room?
Tyson and Holyfield met twice in the late 90s. Both shared a training camp in their amateur careers and later fought against the likes of each other in the ring. Despite this rivalry, Watson had good relations with both and neither of them cared about it.

He added, “Everyone is gone and it was quiet. He was fighting against Mike Tyson and killing over there. It was scary but it was really nice. I said, ‘Holyfield how are you gonna do this?’ He kept saying you gonna see.”
As an underdog, Holyfield pulled the biggest upset of the year. He defeated Tyson and became a three-time heavyweight champion. The duo met again in a controversial rematch. That’s when a frustrated Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear.
