Despite Losing, Paddy Pimblett Says Conor McGregor ‘Bloody Killed It’ With Floyd Mayweather

The iconic crossover between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor took the world by storm about 5 years back. The fight was so big that it is still being discussed in podcasts. It was an iconic fight because never before had any boxer and MMA fighter squared off inside the ring.

It was a proud moment for all MMA fighters, who were backing ‘The Notorious’. He was going out of his comfort zone and testing out his skills against one of the greatest boxers of all time.

The rising star in UFC, who is often compared to McGregor talked about this clash. ‘The Baddy’ is also getting offers from YouTube fighters for a clash, so let’s see what he thinks of McGregor’s challenge to Mayweather.

In an interview with PubTalk, Pimblett praised the Dublin native. Despite McGregor’s loss, he believes that the latter did a fantastic job.

“But yeah he’s not fighting a YouTuber though he’s fighting one of the best boxers. No, we didn’t see that if he got paid more than anyone else has ever been paid, bloody killed it. I mean he smashed its head in and he’s from forever now his family he’s never gonna have to wait a day in the life,” Pimblett said.

McGregor and Mayweather created a historic buzz for the showdown. The event was not as exciting as it was anticipated but it bought a hefty sum for both fighters.

For McGregor, it was his biggest payday. He made around $100 million and became the highest-paid fighter in UFC history.

What is Floyd Mayweather doing now?

After knocking out McGregor, Mayweather announced his retirement. Since then the five-weight division former champ has made exhibitions part of his life. He is promoting the sport and making an easy payday by fighting YouTube fighters.
