Floyd Mayweather’s outstanding boxing career and wise financial decisions have made him one of the world’s wealthiest athletes. He enjoys living large and hovering up the most extravagant and exotic things. He was even given the nickname ‘Money’ for this. Although Mayweather typically gets what he wants, at one point he engaged in a bidding spat with a well-known individual to purchase an expensive item.

Floyd Mayweather enjoys cars a lot and has a variety of expensive vehicles in his garage. Several of his Instagram pictures include him flaunting his gleaming cars. He wanted an automobile back in 2009, but to get it, he had to engage in a bidding battle.

Floyd Mayweather goes berserk to buy this specific car 

‘Money’ wanted to own the ultra-rare Maybach 62S Landaulet, which has a V12 Twin Turbo Engine, with 620 horsepower. Only 8 of these cars were ever manufactured, and there are only three in the United States. The other two are owned by Drake and DJ Khaled. 

The sleek automobile cost $1.35 million when it first hit the market. However, Obi Okeke, a high-end car dealer, was selling his car for $2.6 million. As per reports, the pound-for-pound boxer was in a bidding war with a high-profile rapper behind the scenes. The bidding even went over $2 million at the time. 

What is next for Floyd Mayweather? 

The American boxer is an expert at marketing and knows how to generate revenue. Even though he stopped competing in the sport in 2017, he continues to engage in exhibition matches, which bring in a sizable income. He recently defeated Japanese combatant Mikuru Asakura, which was his most recent triumph. He is currently prepared to face a different fighter.

Mayweather will be seen fighting British Youtuber Deji on November 13th, at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Furthermore, there are rumors that he might face Conor McGregor in a rematch, which could be worth a staggering $1 billion. But only time will tell if the fight reaches its fruition.
