Earlier this year, Ryan Garcia and Haney had hinted at a possible fight between them by sharing a verbal beef inside the ring. After defending his title against Francisco Fonseca, Garcia ignited the call-out.

Haney was present in the arena and he didn’t hesitate to enter the ring. Following a heated conversation, the duo was separated. However, the fantasy matchup raised a lot of eyebrows that night.
