Devin Haney is scheduled to fight Ryan Garcia on April 20 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. However, he seems to be excited about someone else’s clash in the meantime. In a surprising turn of events, ‘The Dream’ Haney responded to former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell today on social media, accepting a bet Bell placed on the Jake Paul vs. Ryan Bourland fight.

Less than a week from now, ‘The Problem Child’ Paul and “The Rhino” Bourland will go toe-to-toe in Puerto Rico. While Paul has gotten used to the ring after his last few fights, the same can not be said about the 35-year-old. He hasn’t fought since September last year, and not to mention two years of break before that. However, none of that fazed Bell, who bet on Bourland winning.

Turning to X (formerly Twitter) yesterday, Le’Veon Bell reacted to the clip of Bourland’s training session, shared by Happy Punch on the platform. So, Bell wrote, “I’m betting every dollar I got on this man..ain’t no way in HELL Jake beats him..” It’s worth mentioning that Bell isn’t alone in supporting Bourland!

Recently, reports suggested Jake Paul’s old opponent Nate Diaz hopped on a call with Bourland to show his support for the boxer. However, Devin Haney doesn’t feel the same, who responded to Bell today. “What u wanna bet.. I got [Jake Paul],” wrote Haney. While Haney predicts the winner of Paul vs. Bourland, someone else has predicted the outcome of his fight.

Devin Haney achieved the coveted undisputed status in the 135 division and put the 140 division on notice after defeating Regis Prograis in December last year. However, will he be able to do the same to Ryan Garcia? Hands down, it will be the biggest fight of Haney’s career, at least in terms of money!

More importantly, Haney’s undefeated record and his WBC super lightweight title will be on the line. So, Fight Hype caught up with Eddie Hearn to get his prediction for the fight! “Devin wins the fight, but Ryan’s dangerous. Actually, as a style matchup, Ryan’s actually got a pretty good style to take on Devin…But Devin is so good in so many areas, and I think up at 140, now he’s a different fighter,” said Hearn.

One take at a time

The first time boxing captured my attention, it was because of a line I heard in the film 'Rocky Balboa', a film surrounding boxing. The line went like this, "But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
