WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney is ready to defend his title on November 7 as he will step against Yuriorkis Gamboa in a 12-round main-event battle. Following a sensational year in 2019 with four consecutive wins, ‘The Dream’ is still to fight this year.
That said, his upcoming fight against Gamboa will be special for several reasons. The whole lightweight unit is currently active with several matchups on the line. While umpteen fights have already taken place, a couple of more are still to happen by the end of this year. Haney vs Gamboa is one of them.

Although Gamboa is one of the most looming lightweights of the modern-era, Haney seemed confident about defeating him. No wonder, being the undefeated lightweight champion, he is comfortably leading the odds.
Yet, boxing is an unpredictable sport, and anything can happen inside the ring. To further intensify the matchup, Haney has promised to cement himself as the best boxer on fight night.
Devin Haney wants to beat Gamboa in the worst way possible
In a recent interview, ‘The Dream’ gave an insight into his ongoing training camp for Gamboa. While we were just a few days away from the fight, Haney wants to claim a spectacular win in his upcoming run.
