WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney has lashed out at some of his biggest contemporaries with a cheeky post on Instagram. The undefeated gladiator does not have a potential opponent at this point. Thus, he is aiming at some of the grandest possible opponents from the modern era. While he called out almost the entirety of his weight-class, Haney has also accused them all of ducking him.

Devin ‘The Dream’ Haney says he would be the “duck hunter” now, taking out all those who are avoiding a possible matchup.

Devin Haney lashes at Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, and others

The World champion took to Instagram and posted a twerking picture on Wednesday.

Haney put his fellow contender’s pictures on the faces of Disney’s Donald Duck and his family. The American superstar depicted Vasiliy Lomachenko, Teofimo Lopez Jr, Ryan Garcia, Adrien Broner, and Luke Campbell amongst others as ducks.

Surprisingly, he also took a dig at his fellow Money Team teammate, Gervonta Davis. In the caption, Haney wrote, “The Duck Family Tree” while billing himself as the duck hunter.

However, it is nothing new for boxing fans. Haney and the other A-listers like Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis have been calling each other out for months. Despite that, none of them have encountered each other in-ring yet.

Thus, Haney’s Instagram post might be just mere social media antics.

The whole title scenario

While COVID-19 brought a halt to the entire sport, boxing has finally resumed for the fans. That said, several of Haney’s targeted opponents are already staged with their respective fights.

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis is going to headline against WBA junior lightweight champion Leo Santa Cruz on October 24. Davis was spotted training alongside Floyd Mayweather recently. Thus, it is safe to state that Haney vs Davis is not happening shortly.

Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn has also clarified the materialization of Luke Campbell opposite Ryan Garcia. The duo will fight in the not so distant future. According to reports, Garcia is preparing for the fight, sending fans into a frenzy.

To disappoint Haney additionally, Lomachenko and Lopez are also trying to seal a day for their fight. After COVID-19 put a stop to their pre-scheduled meet up, the duo hasn’t come up with the last date yet.

Thus, Haney might have to hunt down someone else before he gets to face any of his labeled “ducks”. ‘The Dream’ can also chalk up some preparations for his targeted fight, as his targets execute themselves shortly.
