The reporter questioned Haney about the rematch with Kambosos, saying,” Stylistically Devin, it seems like that your style is something that George is going to struggle with unless he was to change something drastically. Do you think there is anything George is going to throw at you that would help him win a rematch?”.

Haney seemed visibly upset after hearing the question and immediately shut down the reporter saying,” I mean what kind of question is that like you know like what would I say oh yeah if he does this he could win the rematch like come on now, no there’s nothing he could do. Maybe have success better in a rematch but win, that’s like left field once again “.

Haney then went on to warn Kambosos adding that he will be prepared for any adjustments that the Australian might bring, “But at the end of the day he has to go to the drawing board and you know make adjustments I can’t really say what exactly because anything he does I’m going to be prepared for it”.

Kambosos and Haney Rematch

It is very hard to ignore Haney after his performance, in which he comfortably beat the Australian. Further, he has also handed Kambosos his first loss in 21 pro fights since his debut in 2013. He outclassed Kambosos 116-112, 116-112, and 118-110 on the three judges’ scorecards to secure a comfortable win.

Kambosos does have an opportunity for a rematch due to the contract, which includes a rematch clause that states Haney will have to give a rematch to Kambosos if he wins the first fight. But fans feel a rematch is unwarranted due to the fight being so lopsided in favor of Haney.
