Devin Haney’s Training Routine and Diet for the Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Fight

This Saturday, Devin Haney and Joseph Diaz will lock horns with each other at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. In this fight, the WBC interim lightweight champ, Diaz will look to vanquish the ultimate WBC lightweight king, Haney, in a quest to become the new champ.

However, his path towards the same won’t be easy by any means because Haney is one of the most consistent and dominant lightweights of all time. Also, ‘The Dream’ just like all his other fights, has worked really hard work for this fight.

But do you have any idea about the champ’s workout routine? Also, what does he actually eat to give his best shot inside the ring?

Specific information on Haney‘s workout and diet for the Diaz fight isn’t available. However, in an old interview, Haney spoke about running 5-6 miles in the morning. He also asserted about working out for three hours in the afternoon and about an hour and a half at night.

Haney’s workout is an amalgamation of weight training and stringent boxing regimes. ‘The Dream’ also pays keen attention to his sparring sessions, and he often spars with fighters of different weight categories to keep himself challenged.

Along with all of his fitness routines, Haney also hits the mitts and does some bag work to keep his boxing prowess right on top.

For any athlete, diet is predominantly the biggest and perhaps the most vital part to help them get their desired physique. That said, Haney, just to stay in the right physical frame, relies a lot on vegetables and primarily green vegetables.

On top of this, ‘The Dream’ also includes fruits in his diet, thus getting his source of micronutrients as well as other vital minerals.

Citing his workout and diet, it’s safe to say Haney is one of the fittest boxers at present.
