Over the past couple of days, Ryan Garcia has locked horns with a few foes on Twitter. The internet star went all out against his rivals and fans saw a different version of him altogether. He didn’t even spare the Matchroom supremo, Eddie Hearn, as he took a dig at the Brit in his own eccentric way.

Taking it to his Twitter, Garcia wrote, “I know Eddie Hearn kicking him self with all the money he’s losing investing in Devin and overpaying someone who don’t bring in no subscriptions for DAZN”

But recently, Hearn turned the tables when he asked ‘KingRy’ to fight Devin Haney. Speaking exclusively to Pro Boxing Fans, he said, “I just wish that Ryan Garcia would just fight, just fight Devin Haney. He’s been mandatory for Devin Haney. He pulled out of that position after beating Luke Campbell. Ryan can criticize Devin Haney, but Devin’s out there fighting. He’s taking care of business.”

The Haney vs Garcia clash has been in contention since 2020. Both the fighters have proved their mettle to a great extent until now, but it’s unfortunate that a fight between them didn’t come to life.

As Garcia beat Campbell in January 2020, it was clear that Haney would be his next opponent. However, as Garcia took a hiatus citing mental health concerns, he got relegated in the title race.

But in between, there was news surfacing around Garcia and Diaz fighting each other to eventually get a shot towards the title.

If this happens, then ‘KingRy’ will have the last hurdle in ‘Jo Jo’, post which he’ll be free to fight his rival. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out for the pair in the coming few months.
